Unique SD Activities

February 10, 2017

In a city like San Diego, there is always something fun and exciting to do. If you’re looking for something to do other than heading to the beach, here are some unique activities to enjoy while in San Diego.

Are you looking for a reason to dress to the nines? Do you want a night you won’t soon forget? If so, then get ready for the annual Black & White Ball hosted by the ACC-SD, also known as the association of Corporate Counsel. The annual ball will take place in early Spring at the Grand Hyatt in San Diego. There will be a wine reception and dinner. The lounge and bar will open up after those events. At this point, enjoy music from the DJ and dance the night away. Live and silent auction proceeds go to the Casa de Amparo, a non-profit establishment that focuses on the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect in San Diego. If you are looking to support the next generation, consider attending the National League of Junior Cotillion San Diego. This event will also take place in early Spring. Open to those who are in grades 5-8, Junior Cotillion focuses on teaching manners, etiquette, character building and dancing to today’s youths. Part of the character and social etiquette education includes teaching the rules of proper telephone courtesy, acknowledgment of gifts, how to engage in polite conversations, how to make introductions, how to excel at first impressions, sports etiquette and manners in the home and the public. Styles of dances that are taught include Cha Cha, Waltz, Shag Swing and the Foxtrot. This event will take place at the Masonic Event Center located at 7849 Tommy Drive.
