San Diego is a wonderful city that offers so much to see and do. From fantastic beaches and excellent cuisine to shopping opportunities and family-friendly activities, there is always something to be done in San Diego. If you’ll be visiting the city, here are some San Diego transportation options you are able to choose from while in town.

The first option you have is to take a bus. This economical mode of transportation is also relatively convenient. There are many lines and routes that can take you throughout the city. All you have to do is check the bus schedule and plan your route in advance. If you are around Downtown SD, the best way to get around is by using the San Diego Trolley. You can’t miss these bright red trolley’s that take locals and visitors alike around the city. Through the trolley, you’ll hit key destinations in downtown such as the Convention Center and the Sante Fe Depot. If you want to go further than San Diego, consider taking a relaxing ride on the train, which will take you to LA, Santa Barbara, and even farther North than that.

If you feel like you need a car, you can always get a taxi. The Yellow Cab of San Diego is the official transportation taxi system in the city. This is a safe and reliable way to get around while also still being affordable. If you need to get somewhere quick, this may be your best bet. Once in San Diego, simply call (619) 444-4444 if you’d like to request a taxi. It is also an option to simply rent a car. Near the airport you’ll find TravCar, an affordable rental car company that offers a number of different options so that you can find the package that’s right for you. You can make a car reservation online or at the counter.

The North County transit District’s Coaster line, or simply referred to as Coaster, provides an excellent service of getting from downtown San Diego to the coastline. Through the Coaster, you can explore the beautiful California coastline and find out why San Diego has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

No matter which you choose, you will be able to easily find transportation in San Diego.
