The San Diego Zoo has consistently been ranked as one of the best zoos in the world. A part of this is thanks to the adjoining Safari Park. Here, the animals are allowed to roam in their natural habitat thanks to San Diego’s temperate weather. There are also a number of different safari packages to choose from. One of which is the Cheetah Safari. At this experience, you can see the fastest land mammal up close as it dashes around. Cheetahs can reach a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour and you can witness this impressive feat with your own eyes. Afterwards, stay for the meet and greet with the cheetah and his or animal trainer. Be sure to have your camera ready! Another option is the Caravan Safari.

During the caravan safari adventure, you’ll travel in the back of a covered, open air safari truck and you will visit at least two field enclosures. The enclosures will allow you to get a closer look at African and Asian birds and mammals. You’ll even have the opportunity for an unforgettable experience where you can feed some giraffes! There’s also a special Caravan Safari Kids adventure that is perfect for families and created with your kids in mind. Be sure to visit the official website to learn more about the safari adventures at the San Diego Zoo!
