One of the great things about San Diego is the weather allows you to get outdoors and explore some of the best places for an afternoon stroll. On your next stroll, check out some of these outdoor markets in San Diego.


The award winning Little Italy Mercato Farmers’ Market takes place on every Saturday all year round, rain or shine! At the Little Italy Mercato, it’s not only a great place to get your fresh groceries, it’s a the perfect place to find unique gifts. In fact, at the market, you’ll find 175 farmers and vendors all showcasing fresh and local produce. Items you can find at the mercato include flowers, eggs, cheeses, honey, fresh baked bread, nuts, locally made jams, dips, seasonings and more! The market is located at W. Cedar St in between Kettner Blvd and Front St.


Are you always on the lookout for the best sales? If so, be sure to make time to go to the Stadium Swap Meet. With only a small entrance fee, you can then spend the rest of your time exploring the various venues, munching on food from vendors and listening to live music. Expect to spend some time exploring through the various vendors. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll likely be able to find here. The Stadium Swap Meet takes place on Wednesdays from 2pm-9:30pm and is located at the SDCCU Stadium at 9449 Friars Road.


If you happen to find yourself around Pacific Beach on a tuesday, be sure to head to the Pacific Beach Tuesday Farmers Market. The event takes place every Tuesday where the surf meets the sand. Here, enjoy searching through the various vendors where you can find vegetables, fruits, meats, herbs, cheeses, breads, fresh flowers, dips, sauces and more! You can also find handcrafted arts and crafts from local artisans. The Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday rain or shine from 2pm-7pm at Bayard St. between Garnet Ave and Grand Ave.
