With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to finalize your plans and figure out how you’ll be celebrating the most haunted day of the year! The good news is that there’s lots of way to celebrate Halloween in San Diego. The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park

During this mile long trail, you’ll encounter spine tingling sights and ghastly sights that are sure to leave you trembling. Located within Balboa Park, you’ll venture though a terrifying trail where you’ll never know what’s waiting for you just around the corner. Along the way you’ll run into terrifying classics such as Pennywise, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Michael Myers and a special Stranger Things inspired house. The Haunted Trail is not recommended for children under 10.

The Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds

This is San Diego County’s largest haunted experience. Here you’ll find yourself braving three terrifying haunts including venturing through bone chilling rooms at the House of Horror, the disorienting KarnEvil maze, and the dark and terrifying Haunted Hayride that will take you along the backside of the Del Mar Scaregrounds. The Whaley House Museum

Want to spend some time in a real haunted house? If so, look no further than the Whaley House Museum located in Old Town. This house was ranked, “the most haunted house in America” (Life, 2005), as it is well document that the Whaley family continues to haunt their home till this day. Come and enjoy the extended hours during select nights in October or join in on a Guided Night Time Tour and walk through these haunted halls after dark!
