Family Friendly Fourth of July Events

This fourth of July, San Diego has a number of fun events to choose from. Bring family and friends down to some of these 4th of July events in San Diego to celebrate this special holiday.

If you want to see the largest fireworks show in all of a San Diego County, than the show for you is the Big Bay Boom! What makes this fireworks display so impressive is that there will be simultaneous firework launches all throughout the San Diego bay. There will be fireworks launching from Harbor Island, Embarcadero North and South, Shelter Island, Seaport Village and the Coronado Ferry Landing. Prepare yourself for a beautifully choreographed fireworks show at this year’s Big Bay Boom! The fireworks are set to go off at 9pm. Attend this fun event for FREE.

If you plan on attending the San Diego Fair on the Fourth of July, after a day of fun, stay for the fireworks show! Gather around the Heineken Grandstand Stage, which is where the fireworks will be shot off from. However, if you’ll be attending this year’s San Diego County Fair on the fourth, than you’ll be sure to see the impressive display from wherever you are on the grounds of the fair. The fireworks display is set to begin at 9pm. Children ages 6-12 get in to the fair for $11 and adults get in for $18. Children 5 and younger get in for FREE. For a blast from the past, stop by Old Town San Diego and enjoy an old fashioned celebration of July 4th. Enjoy the 4th of July parade and then afterward, you and your family can partake in the fun crafts and activities that were enjoyed during the early days of San Diego.
