You’ve managed to make some time to explore the beautiful city of San Diego, but you only have a few days. You might be wondering, where do I start? And how do I make the most out of my time here? Lucky for you, here is a San Diego itinerary for 3 days that will show you some of the best spots of San Diego. Stay at cheap weekly rentals san diego to save money.

On your first day, visit the Cabrillo National Monument. Located at the southernmost tip of Point Loma, at the top of the monument you’ll find a statue of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the first European explorer to navigate the California coast. Located only about 10 miles southwest of downtown SD, while the statue is nice, the real showstopper is the fantastic views. From the top of the monument you’ll find sweeping views of the Pacific ocean, downtown San Diego, Coronado and on a clear day, you can even see all the way to Tijuana, Mexico.

On Day two, explore Balboa Park. The park is San Diego’s cultural hub, and did you know, the park is actually larger than Central Park in NY! Inside Balboa Park, you’ll see beautiful architecture, a number of museums, several gardens, a botanical garden and more. Some of the museums include the Museum of Man, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the Fleet Science Center. Prices vary, though entrance to the park is free. On day three, be sure to visit the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park. Consisting of 100 acres of land, the Zoo and Safari Park is consistently ranked as one of the best in the entire world! The zoo is the largest in the country and also houses the largest collection of endangered and rare animals in the world. It’s truly something you need to see to believe.
