One of the biggest events in San Diego is just around the corner. That’s right, this year’s Comic Con International will be taking place July 21st through the 24th at the San Diego Convention Center. Comic-Con is the premier convention for all things related to comics. If you want to sit it on panels, get autographs from your favorite stars, be a part of a larger community and more, than you are not going to want to miss out on attending this year’s Comic-Con. Tickets are now on sale!

Over the years, Comic-Con has grown to include over 700 events from hands on workshops to anime and film screenings to art shows and even a separate film festival! One exciting event that will take place at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is the world premiere of Star Trek Beyond, the highly anticipated next installment of the Star Trek franchise. There will also be a number of special guests that will be at this year’s event. This include William Gibson, author of Neuromancer, Archangel, and Peripheral and living legend, Stan Lee – the man behind Marvel comics such as the Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four.

From Thursday, July 21st through Saturday, July 23rd, the exhibit hall will be open from 9:30am-7pm though programming will continue through the evening. On Sunday, July 24th, the exhibit hall will be open from 9:20am – 7pm. An adult badge for Thursday, Friday, and saturday will be $55. A junior badge, for those 13-17 years of age, on these days will be $27. An adult badge for Sunday will be $40 and for juniors will be $20. Senior/U.S. Military tickets will be $27 for Thursday-Saturday and a Sunday ticket will be $20. If you will be attending Comic-Con this summer, consider staying in one of the extended stay hotels near San Diego Convention Center for a quicker commute.
